About
Stuart Grimshaw, the founder of Headsoup, is a musician, software engineer, educator, and published author in the mobile development space, with a genuine passion for helping people to make music.
After 25 years as a full-time musician and composer, he began his journey into app development, at a time when software for live performance was not yet available; at first for his own use, then for his colleagues, and finally as a freelance developer.
It’s this unusual combination of skills and experience that led to the idea of Odeonic; a software platform where users with little-to-no musical background can create their own musical soundtracks, in minutes.
Headsoup’s Odeonic platform allows users to compose, perform and record music in real time, and continuously adapts to user input.
At the start of 2025 a feasibility test using gestures to pilot the Odeonic music core with a dementia group led to incredible results. And so, LIFT was born. For 2025 commercialising LIFT is the focus, and we are currently running several pilots with support groups and in a SEND school.
